The company is one of the world's leading developers of picmicro-based products. It was formed in 1991 as bluebird electronics and changed to a limited company in 2004. They wrote the worlds first book on the microchip pic and since then have been designing and manufacturing products based on the picmicro.

Custom designs include alphanumeric and graphic lcd based solutions, architectural led lighting concepts and designs involving gps, gsm/gprs, embedded ethernet and bluetooth.

The areas worked in are as diverse as helicopter landing light systems, electroluminescent lighting inverters, battery status monitors and miniature video surveillance and recording systems. As well as controller boards for point of sale terminals and large digit controller boards.
